I’ve never been one to make a huge fuss over Valentine’s Day. It’s not that I’m against it – I enjoy doing something nice with my partner- or in my single days, my friends- and I like being surrounded by reminders of love. I do, however, believe showing and celebrating your love should be a year-round affair; an ongoing event that is not reserved to one day or month.

That being said, I’m a sucker for romance, crafts and baking – for which February is the Holy Grail . With Valentine’s Day, Andrew’s birthday and the anniversary of the day we met {what we’ve always considered our anniversary}, there is a lot to celebrate!

Last year I made the above bunting to hang just before Andrew’s birthday and Valentine’s Day. We ended up leaving it hanging most of the year. {Letter templates available here.}

For our anniversary, I made him this. I saw the idea on Pinterest, but don’t know where it originated. It has become a really precious keepsake between us though, and was the inspiration for the title of our engagement photo shoot.

There are tons of Valentine’s crafts floating around the internet, and I look forward to sharing some with you; I’ve even got a couple ideas of my own. Do you do anything special for Valentine’s Day?
